Darrell “Shorty” Geske Sr. age 80, life on resident of St. Charles, passed away February 20, 2013 at Geneva Care Center, Geneva, IL. He was born in St. Charles, to Walter and Pauline Geske on March 24, 1932. He is survived by his children, Suzanne Ward, Darrell (Karen) Geske Jr., Robert Geske, John (Thelma) Geske, Howard (Sharon) Geske, Marianne (David) Snyder, Charles Geske. 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his sister Adele Hawkins, and brother Thomas (Rosemary) Geske. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Robert “Butch” Geske. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 23, 2013 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, (corner of Rt. 64 & Rt. 25) St. Charles, IL 60174. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 143 S. 1st Street, Batavia, IL 60510.
