"We all have lost one of the truly good guys. They just don't make them much better than Gary. We feel blessed that we crossed paths with and became friends with Gary. He is already greatly missed."
"Though years have passed since C&NW, I have many happy memories of Gary and our friendship. He was a thoughtful and gentle person. Condolences to his family. I know he will be missed by all who knew him.
Rest in peace, Gary. Memories of you will always bring a smile to my face."
"Gary will be remembered as a loving, caring, dedicated, truly kind kind man. So many can learn so much from his character, his love of life, and the way he lived his life. What a blessing to have known him. Our sincere sympathy "
"I remember Gary when I was a kid watching the C&NW softball team. My dad was a great pitcher. However, if the ball was hit back to him he would always duck out of the way. Gary was his saving grace playing at short center, as he would always make the plays that my dad should have. I'm sure they are both on the same softball team in heaven!
I would like to extend my sincere condolences on behalf of my dad. Joe Umana Sr. and our whole family.
May God bless you and bring peace to your family during this difficult time.
Joe Umana Jr."
