CONDOLENCES

George & Jane Lane from Edwardsville IL

"To the family of Si,
Jane and I want to offer our deepest sympathy. We will keep you in our prayers. On the Board of Directors of Standard Federal Bank for 10 years with Si was enjoyable and educational. He always brought a scientific approach to solving problems and when Si spoke we all listened. Not only was he an intellectual, he was fun to be around, and I am much better having been around him.
God's blessing to the entire family.

Randy Welsh from Downers Grove IL

"Mr. Gary was my mentor, role model and friend in the first years of my professional life at Scientific Control Labs. I've always strived to emulate his ability to solve the challenges in business and life in a thoughtful, fair, ethical, and effective manner.

If Mr. Gary (and he'll always be Mr. Gary to me) has made as much of an impression on others as he has with me, then the world has been greatly improved in his time. I will remember him fondly always."

Carol Rosene from St Charles IL

"Si was a wonderful bridge player. He always seemed to be able make bids no one else could. He will be missed."

Mike Burnson from Elmwood Park IL

"Si really was a great guy - he kindly taught me some things that I still use in business today. I heard so many good things about him from others, as well.

Always pleasant, always smiling. And he had that twinkle in his eyes like nobody else!"

Len and Jan Metheny from Indian Shores FL

"We wish to express our most sincere sympathies and are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Si was a very special and thoughtful person. I was fortunate to have been associated with Si when he was a valued and loved Dirctor of Standard Federal Bank and I the Vice President and Corporate Secretary.

I remember Si's thoughtful and sharp questioning during board meetings. Si's input and wise consul certainly made Standard a better and more caring organization and those of us who knew him a better person.

He will be missed; however, Si will certainly live on in our hearts.
