OBITUARY
Hilda S. Wettengel, age 79, of Sycamore, formerly of St. Charles died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Pine Acre Nursing Home in DeKalb, Illinois after battling a long illness with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born November 21, 1930 in Windsor, Canada to Cecil and Alice Hallett.
For over 18 years, Mrs. Wettengel worked for Burges Norton Manufacturing and help with the family business, Wettengel Woodworking. She enjoyed Bird Watching, Astronomy, Reading, Camping and Square Dancing.
Mr. Wettengel is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph, three sons, Steve (Barb) of Sugar Grove, Joe (Linda) of St. Charles, Bill (Cindy) of Corvallis, Oregon, a daughter, Wendy (Loren) Nagy of St. Charles, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Frank.
Memorial service will be held 5:00 P.M., Sunday, March 7th at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, (corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25), St. Charles. Rev. William Nagy officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pine Acres Nursing Home, 1212 South 2nd Street, DeKalb, Illinois 60115.
