OBITUARY
Willard “Willy” A. Kautz, age 83, of Geneva passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at his home.
He was born October 12, 1927 in Geneva, Illinois to Albert G. and Mabel Kautz.
Willy attended St. Charles Schools and graduated in 1946. He served in the United States Army with tours in Europe and stateside. In 1957, he was united in marriage to his wife, Lorraine Schuett at Grace Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. In 1991, he retired from Fermi Lab in Batavia as Senior Purchasing Supervisor after 23 years of service. He was an avid golfer and after his retirement, he was a Golf Ranger at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles for 10 years. He was longtime active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Charles. He was a member of the West Chicago Legion Post #300 and the St. Charles Masonic Lodge Unity #48 AF & AM.
Mr. Kautz is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lorraine, three children, Julie (Damian “Dutch) Brown, James (Christine) and Marcia (David) Nelson, all of Geneva and six grandchildren, Natalie and Christopher Brown, Tyler and Hannah Kautz, Martha and Grace Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his patents and a son, Mark.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 15th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Charles. Rev. Mark Larson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 West State Street, (Rt. 38), Geneva.
