Dorothy Agnes Donovan, age 87, passed away into her Eternal home on September 11, 2023. Dorothy was living at The Gloria Adelson Field Health Center in Dedham, MA at the time of her death.

Dorothy was the daughter of Mary (Flynn) and Edward Donovan.  She was born on June 8, 1936, in Chicago IL.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward Donovan.  She is survived by her brothers John (Beverly) Donovan and Richard (MaryLou) Donovan. Dorothy’s family also consisted of nieces, nephews, and their children. MaryTherese Berg, (children Donovan and Colin), Eddie Donovan, (children Kaitlyn and Tommy) and Erin Straka.

Dorothy spent most of her life caring for the sick in her role as a registered nurse, much of that time at Massachusetts General Hospital. She completed her career and retired as a nurse manager from Mass General Hospital. For many years, Dorothy has also been an associate member of The Sisters of St. Francis in Clinton Iowa. Dorothy’s passions in life were her career and her love faith.  Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to The Sisters of St. Francis, Clinton Iowa.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, September 22, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church 400 Cedar Street, St. Charles, IL.   Family and friends may gather for a brief visitation on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 9:00 am at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 West State Street, Geneva, IL 60134.
