Betty Kelker age 89, of St. Charles, Illinois, formerly of Quincy, Illinois and Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully January 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years John “Jake” H. Kelker.

Betty enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling to visit with them whenever the opportunity came up. She had a bright and energetic personality known for her sense of fun and patience with everyone. Through her laughing and giggling she brought calmness to any situation, able to make everything all better. In her teenage years she was a dance teacher and continued her passion of dance throughout her life, those in attendance would comment in amazement how accomplished she was. Her husband often joined her as the two of them danced their way through 64 years of marriage. Betty let her children know that she wanted to wear her tap shoes for eternity, so her wish will be granted, they are polished and ready to go with her as she dances her way to heaven. We are positive her performance to the Lord will be her best one yet as He welcomes her home with a round of applause for a LIFE WELL DONE!

She is survived by her children Denise (Greg) Brown of Griggsville, IL, John (Carol) W. Kelker of South Elgin, IL, Kathleen (Dean) Brandenburg of Schaumburg, IL, Christine (Jack) McKenzie of Batavia, IL, grandchildren; Kimberly (Kenny) Schaad, Dean Brandenburg, Jason (Amy) Brandenburg, Johnny Kelker, Catie Kelly, Kristen Kelker, Shauna (Joel) Peterson, Jason McKenzie, John (Megan) McKenzie, Sherri Dunne, Bill (Niki) Dunne, John (Lisa) Bieda, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Betty is also survived by a fond sister-in-law and brother –in-law Joanne and William Mester of Quincy, Illinois

Betty was also preceded in death by her parents Homer and Elva L. Watts.

In Lieu of flowers you can donate to the American Heart Association.
