Obituaries

Otto Joseph “Cork” Kucera III, 78, died Monday, May 2 peacefully in his home.  We are also remembering Darlene Faye Kucera, 75, who died May 17, 2020 at home as well. They greatly loved each other, and were loved by their children and grandchildren.

The son of Otto and Emma Kucera was born on August 30, 1943 in Elgin, IL and daughter of George Smith and Edna Chidester on October 2, 1944 in Buffalo Center, IA.  They married on May 30, 1964 at Faith Lutheran Church, Glen Ellen, IL and were joined for 56 years, separated only by death.

They are survived by son Otto Donald (Christine), son George Dana (Sandy), sisters Amy Sigler and Joy Able and four grandchildren – Nicholas (Nikko) 24, Samantha 20, Madalynn 20 and Otto Mitchel 18.

A celebration of life for Otto and Darlene will be held from 3:00-6:00pm, Tuesday, May 10th at Yurs Funeral Home of St. Charles, 405 East Main Street (Corner of Route 64 and Route 25).
