Geraldine A. Homola, 94, of St. Charles, IL, formerly of Berwyn, IL, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva.

She was born May 17, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Homola.

She was a member of the Western Bohemian Fraternal Association Pilgrim Lodge #330.

She is survived by her nieces, Carole M. Comperda (the late Ronald), Janet M. (Richard) Laube, Karen T. (Steven) Geraghty; nephew, Paul J. (Maria) Homola; and many great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Adele B. Kovanda (Emil); brothers, Elmer P. Homola (Millicent) and Joseph E. Homola; and nephew, Louis E. Kovanda.

Whether you were family, a friend, or an acquaintance that she met that day at a restaurant or in line at the grocery store, Aunty Gerry had such a unique way of making everyone smile and feel loved. She had a quick wit, a tremendous sense of humor, and an everlasting genuine, cheerful fun spirit. Aunty Gerry enjoyed many activities, including traveling the country, especially Arkansas and Florida, golfing, playing piano, fishing, swimming in Florida, bingo, crossword puzzles, drawing pictures and doodling, watching and rooting for the Chicago White Sox, Cubs, Bulls and Bears, and also spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, from 4 to 8:00pm at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles. Funeral Mass will commence at 10:30am Friday, September 8, at St. Patrick Parish, 408 Cedar Street, downtown St. Charles. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
