"The gentle giant is goneI first met Emil some twenty years ago, A lasting image don’t you know, He stood some six feet, four inches in height, His size however gave many a fright,His weight was well over four hundred pounds, Yes, he was a big man all around, But he was known for his quiet manner, I never heard him yell, no matter,He was congenial all of the time, He only grumbled of politics sometimes, He’d work long and hard it seemed, On a different timeline than others indeed,Yet he thrived in the tedious and mundane, Where others dared not go, just the same, He got it done with much frustration, While others waited in anticipation,But now he’s gone no more suffering, We’ll miss your shadow and quiet meanderings, I’m sure you’re up there at a never-ending buffet, Enjoy my friend, I miss you today."
