Robert Irvin Reimer
December 24, 1951 - December 15, 2024

Robert Irvin Reimer, Jr. (Bob), age 72 of Geneva, IL passed away on December 15, 2024.
He is survived by his wife Chere’, his daughter and son-in-law Tara and Steven, his daughter and son-in-law Caitlyn and Michael, his grandson Jonathan, his mother Lorraine and stepfather Kenneth, his brother and sister-in-law Rodney and Mira, his brother and sister-in-law Richard and Sue, his sister Constance, his brothers-in-law Victor (Victoria) and Robert Flammini, his stepsisters, his nephews and nieces, and his great-nephews and great-nieces. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Reimer, Sr. and his stepbrother Joseph (Doreen) Ray.
Bob grew up in Chicago, IL, was a graduate of Lane Tech High School, and ultimately retired as a vice president of sales for a manufacturing company in the steel industry. With his engineering inclined mind and big personality, he rose through the ranks on natural talent and hard work. Those who knew him professionally considered him both a trusted advisor of all things technical, and a fun and friendly personality that cultivated lasting business partnerships (and many lifelong friendships). For those who knew Bob personally, they’d tell you he was larger than life, loved to have a good time, saw the best in everyone and everything, had a passion for music (that led him to way too many concerts to count), and never missed a Chicago Cubs or Chicago Bears game. They’d also tell you he was humble, hard working, and a friend to many. After retiring, he enjoyed working at Home Depot where he was able to use his knowledge of everything mechanical and his ability to fix anything. Without fail, he loved enjoying a cup of coffee outside every morning reading his newspaper with particular interest in current events, weather, and sports updates. Bob was an encyclopedia for all things politics, history, and really any random topic that would have those around him interested in anything he had to share. He loved his family and was known to be kind, generous of spirit, welcoming, intelligent and jovial.
He will be missed dearly by those who love him and will be remembered everyday.
A celebration of life will be held and hosted by his family on April 26, 2025 at Riverside Receptions at 11am. All are welcome who knew Bob and would like to pay their respects.
