Francis John Murphy of St. Charles passed away December 3, 2025.
He was born on August 23, 1940, to Francis and Ann Murphy in Crosby, Minnesota.
He attended the University of Minnesota Duluth where he played four years of football and earned his degree in education. He taught for 34 years in Elgin district U-46 at the elementary level. He remained in contact with several students even after retirement.
He is survived by his wife Mary, sister Patricia Koenig, and niece Amy Ybarra and several cousins.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 10th from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church1145 N 5th Ave St. Charles. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M Wednesday at the Church.
Donations may be made to the Northern Illinois Food Bank or Bethlehem Lutheran Church
