Born in the old Delnor Hospital, on Fifth Avenue, she opened her eyes on September 16th, 1946 and nothing was the same ever again.
She lived in St. Charles all her life, attending St. Patrick’s grade school, graduating in 1961, and then she became a freshman in St. Charles High School. She took a job working at the Illinois Cleaners and sometimes she had to walk home.
She loved to cook and created her own seasoning.
She found her true calling in auto parts. She was manager at Bills Auto Parts for many years. She was self-taught by bringing the books home and studying them.
When Bills Auto Parts sold, she went to work for Morgan’s Gas Station, staying until Morgan retired. From there, she went to work at Sungi Center. Her time there was short because it didn’t appeal to her.
She went on to Dopaco at 42 years old and stayed there until one year before her 35th anniversary.
She had a lot of young people she imparted all she knew to, and taught them you can do anything as long as you believe in yourself.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eldona, in 2008.
She is survived by her younger sister, Kathy.
Ginny you were my surrogate mother, but most of all you were my very best friend.
Burial will be private.
