Condolences
Delores A Howard from Elgin, IL
"This hit me harder than I expected. I did not grow up in St. Charles and only met Becky through my husband Jeff. She was the most welcoming and accepting person who helped anchor me into the group. She was like the mom figure to those knuckleheads that she went to school with. Enjoying their antics and trying to help maintain some control. I enjoyed every time we crossed paths and could catch up. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. To her family please accept my deepest condolences."
William Page from Rockledge, FL
"Becky taught 4/5th and 5th to 3 of my 4 when she was at Munhall. An amazing, creative educator whose innovative techniques enlivened her classroom and inspired her students. Her many past pupils will fondly remember the games, "campfires," and songs she used to make her lessons come alive. It is impossible to measure the positive impact she had on so many. Our condolences to her family and our thanks for her dedication to our children"
Kristin Wagner from Omaha, NE
"Dr. Scent was my 4th and 5th grade teacher almost 30 years ago. She was amazing and I still remember so many of the creative things she came up with to help us learn. I now work in an elementary school myself and think of her often. She was a fantastic person."
Jane Stopka Bigda from Myrtle Beach, SC
"We Stopka’s knew Becky ever since we were neighbors in Rainbow Hills. She was closest to my sister Kathy but we always enjoyed having her with us. We thought of her as one of the family. I will miss her warmth, her wonderful sense of fun and her smile. My condolences to Norma, Kim, Susan and Diane. Becky was part of our lives and will be remembered."

"Becky, you know the secret now. I was shocked at your passing. Lately I had been thinking about you. Willie and I were thinking back on all our card games we played over and over. So many good times living across the street from each other. The laughter and your amazing treats…these are memories I will always cherish. You are now with Jesus and enjoying eternal happiness. In the future, I’ll see you in heaven for a game of cards. Deal me in…love you always, Kath"

"I worked with Becky at Wredling Middle School. She was an amazing, creative teacher who found the best in every one of her students. We had fun in being the “townies”, having been raised in STC. No one could quite figure out why we knew so many STC people and stories. Becky touched the lives of so many students and teachers alike. I know she had an impact on me personally."
