Obituaries

Allan David Black, 95, passed away at his home in St. Charles, Illinois on October 16, 2022. He was born to James Allen and Margaret Haggerty Black in Morris, Illinois, on September 03, 1927. He graduated from Morris High School in 1944 after which he enlisted in the United States Army.

After being honorably discharged, Allan enrolled at Aurora College and graduated with a degree in accounting. He then went to work for the Eby-Brown Company and was employed there for 72 years until he retired.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Evelyn Black Dyson (Wayne); and brothers, William Joseph Black (Mary) and his twin brother James Robert Black (Lorraine). He is survived by a sister, Ruth Marie Black of Lake Forest, Illinois.

Private services with Military Honors were held on October 26, 2022, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
