Anthony (Tony) Daniel Capozziello of Hampshire, IL passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. Tony was born July 18, 1990, and brought up by his late father, Michael Capozziello. While he’s known his beautiful wife, Jenny, for many years, on 11/11/11 Tony built up the courage, with his help of his friend Captain Morgan, to ask her out. While she was convinced he would never get married, he surprised her and everyone else, when he popped the question in 2015. They married in 2017 on a beautiful August day. Tony worked for Meade Electrical for the past 7 years, under the Local 9 Union. He climbed the ranks from apprentice lineman and was soon to transition to a foreman. Despite the long hours and extremely dirty fingernails, Tony embraced the brotherhood and was proud of his work. Tony was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Many would say he had a slight obsession, as he would make Jenny arrange their Sunday plans based on the Bears game times. Above all, Tony was an amazing father. His carefree spirit and love of life encouraged his playful behavior. His oldest daughter, Audrianna, will have some of the best memories to provide comfort over the years. Besides teaching her about the Bears (shocking), he could be found giving horseback rides, having water fights, playing tag, and so much more. While Mia and Dominic may not remember these moments, we will make sure to share these stories with them to keep their dad’s memory alive. We couldn’t sum up Tony’s impact on this Earth without mentioning his dedication to the rest of his family and friends. At holidays, Tony could barely make it in the door before grabbing a niece or nephew to play with. His friends will remember his infamous dance moves, and ability to sing every lyric to “Let Me Freak” and “Why You Asking All Dem Questions”. To put it simply, Tony was a rare soul to come by and the life of everyone’s party.
Tony is survived by his wife, Jenny (nee Pari); children Audrianna (8), Mia (2), and Dominic (9 months); grandmother (Phyllis Sullivan); siblings, Angela Capozziello (Philip Zimmerman), Catherine Capozziello, Robert, and Nicholas; father/mother in-law, Glen and Alison Pari; brothers-in-laws, James and Joseph Weinhold, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Michael; grandfather (Richard Sullivan); and sister-in-law, Jaclyn Pari.
Wake will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 4:30pm-9pm at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 W State St. Geneva, IL 60134. The funeral will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 11am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 2900 E. Main St. St. Charles, IL 60175. Because of Tony’s love of the Bears, the request is for those attending the wake to wear Chicago Bears apparel.
While we were not ready to say goodbye to Tony, we take comfort in knowing that Tony will live on through his gift of organ donation. A GoFundMe has been set up to support Jenny and the children and can be found by searching “Help for the Capozziello Family”. As the days continue to pass from this day forward, we will find relief and support in the people that surround us, the wonderful memories we carry in our hearts and our minds, but most of all each other. Tony, we will miss you more than you know. Say hi to our loved ones in Heaven, enjoy a Captain and Coke while you wait, and start making a list of things to show us for the day we get to see you again. We love you so much.

"My deepest sympathies go out to the Capozziello, and the Pari family. Tony was one of the funniest, and most helpful human beings that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I wish there were more memories that I personally had with Tony, but I do know that he was someone that you could always be yourself around, and would go out of his way to help others. There are not enough words to describe his loss, and his families loss. Tony is still with us, and will always be there to protect his family, and friends. Rest in piece, my friend, we will all see you on the other side."
