She died peacefully at her home in Batavia, IL. She was born in Addison, IL, to her parents,
Otto and Dora Bunge. On June 17, 1961, she married Arnold W. Behnke. They lived many
happy years in Addison, IL, before retiring to Sebring, FL, in 2002. Betty remained in Florida for

teacher and a secretary. She loved traveling with Arnie across the United States and enjoyed
life with family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Cheryl Marie, her husband
Arnold, and her brother Norman Bunge. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Behnke,
and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, at Immanuel
Lutheran Church, Batavia, IL. The interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in
Addison, IL. Donations may be made to either church or to a charity of your choice.

Condolences

patricia Bunge from St Charles, IL

"Godspeed Aunt Betty."

Judy Camiliere from Sugar Grove, IL

"I’m Thankful that Betty was able to return to Illinois where she was able to reconnect with family and friends. I will miss her spontaneous phone calls and my spontaneous visits with her in Batavia. We had several conversations regarding heaven these past several years. Betty, I’m sure it’s as beautiful and everything that Jesus promised. Thankful you are enjoying all that now. You will me missed."

Robert Lyon from Wheaton, IL

"Early memories meeting Aunt Betty in the mid-70s when I dated Norma. Always gracious to me. I jokingly referred to her as the 3rd Betty, as my Mother and Mother-in-law were also named Betty. The last month in the assisted living facility was tough on her, but she clearly "Finished well, with her eyes on Jesus""
