Bonni Gillette, born in Chicago, IL September 12, 1945 to Alice (Nee) Woods and Arthur C. Jones passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021.

Bonni graduated from Jones Commercial High School in Chicago and worked in accounting positions at several companies.  She moved with her parents to Romeoville, IL and took a job at Argonne National Laboratory where she met her husband, Jerry Gillette.  They were married September 19, 1970 and had two wonderful daughters, Kristin and Lisa.  Bonni obtained a design degree from College of DuPage and business degree from Lewis University and ran her own interior design business in Naperville, IL for twenty-five years.  Bonni and Jerry lived in Naperville for thirty-nine years before moving to St. Charles, IL in 2011.

She enjoyed quilting, bowling, traveling, playing cards, and visiting with friends.  She made beautiful quilts for family members with love and care.  She loved cooking for a whole army even when she was entertaining only a few guests.  She also enjoyed spending time at the summer home she and Jerry shared at Woodhaven Lakes.

Bonni was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Jerry, daughters, Kristin (Jasen) Stiles of Corona, CA and Lisa (Alan) Meister of Yorkville, IL, three granddaughters, Taylor, Hayley, and Faith, and two grandsons, Alan and Andrew.  She is also survived by her brother, Bob and sister, Sue.

Visitation will be Friday, September 10th from 4-8pm at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State Street, Geneva, IL 60134.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 11th at 10:00am, also at Yurs Funeral Home.  In leu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
