Carol Aiello, an angel in her own right, was lifted to Heaven peacefully on January 12, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at her side.  She is preceded in death by her one-of-a-kind parents, Charles and Irene Danca, precious sister, Irene Rogers, and wonderful brother-in-law, Joseph Mucia. Carol married the love of her life and best friend, Bruce, who absolutely loved her in equal measure, 50 years ago in August, 1970.  Together they welcomed into the world two amazing sons, Bret in September, 1971 and Brian in August, 1976

Carol is survived by her caring husband, Bruce, loving sons Bret and Brian, adored four-legged companion, Sugar, and grandchildren Anthony and Abigail; sisters Diane Mucia and Charlene (Garry) Eastwood, and brother-in-law Michael Rogers; two aunts, one uncle; numerous special cousins and truly adored nieces and nephews along with their families.

Carol immensely enjoyed her travels to Europe with Bruce and their best times together resulted in special memories as they trekked throughout Italy on their nine gorgeous vacations to both large cities and many beautiful out-of-the-way locations, known for their delicious meals, friendly atmosphere and gusto to create moments like no other.  But, no matter how much enjoyment she experienced on her travels throughout the world, her best moments were with her immediate family, her parents, sisters and brothers-in-law and their immediate families.  This is the true meaning of Life!

Due to current COVID restrictions, Carol’s funeral service and burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside will be private.  A memorial service for Carol will be planned for this summer after the COVID restrictions are lifted.  If you wish, donations to The American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org-Donate Now-Memorial Donations-Pay Tribute) as a tribute to Carol would be greatly appreciated.

"Bret has been a close friend for 15 years. I only had the pleasure of meeting Carol one time while she was cooking for her granddaughter's birthday here in Atlanta. She was lovely, of course, and I know she will be dearly missed by her family and her friends. Through our friendship, I am aware of the closeness that Bret's family shares. I know how much he loves his family, and I know he will miss his mom.My family and I send our deepest condolences to Carol's family and friends. We wish you peace and pray for your comfort during this sad time."
