Dave Filas (63) died on Monday, August 11th, 2025. He was greatly loved by his children, grandchild, family and friends.

The son of Robert & Charlene Filas, Dave was born on February 23rd, 1962 in Chicago, IL.

Dave attended Loyola University, where he was involved in his fraternity.

Dave was a lover of many things, but especially his Chicago sports – Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, & Bulls. He loved classic cars, especially a Corvette, attending the car show in Chicago with his kids and to a boat show with his Dad.

Dave was an amazing friend, father, grandfather, son, and dog dad.

Dave is survived by his daughters Nicole (Vince), Brittany (Brock), Lain, granddaughter McKenna, mother of his children Sandy (Mike), and his fur babies Wrigley & Phillip.

He is predeceased by his father Robert and mother Charlene.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Almost Home Foundation who is helping find a loving home for his fur babies Wrigley & Phillip.
