David F. Erickson, died Saturday, October 16, 2021, at home after a lengthy illness. He was greatly loved by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The son of Donald Erickson and Marion Felch Erickson, David was born on April 15, 1933 in Rockford, Illinois. On July 25, 1953 he married Ann (Anna Blackford) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Paso Robles, California.

Dave graduated from East Rockford High School in 1951, attended Northern Illinois University and Aurora University. He had many jobs but eventually worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller and manager. He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955and was deployed to Korea.

Dave had many hobbies such as singing in a barbershop quartet, Svea Soner Mens’ Chorus and the choir at the United Methodist Church of Geneva. He also had a private pilot’s license with all the ratings. He loved to travel and took his grandchildren on many trips.

During retirement he did many charitable acts for his church and Hospice deliveries, etc.

A Visitation will be 10-11:00 A.M. October 23, 2021, at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton Street, Geneva, IL 60134. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 11:00 at the church the Reverend Rob Hamilton officiating.
