Deborah J. Treutler (Sciulli), 64, passed away peacefully on Monday April 24, 2023 in her St. Charles home with her family at her side. Debbie was born on August 8, 1958 in Arlington, Mass. to Joseph and Frances Sciulli.
She is survived by her husband Timothy, daughter Elizabeth Treutler with grandchildren Amelia and Sophia, and daughter Emily (Michael) Hoaglund with grand-pups Bandit and Squeak; parents Joseph and Frances Sciulli, and siblings Robin, Sandra, and Mark Sciulli.
Debbie took pleasure in creating and crafting of all types over the years; her favorite and most notable being quilting. She spent countless hours making quilts for friends and family to cherish. She enjoyed traveling to different quilting shops, “Shop Hops”, throughout the Midwest looking for hidden treasures and that “perfect” fabric pattern, even buying every Coleman sheet set she could find to make Tim Coleman pajamas. She used her talents for interior designing (the cheeriest place on earth, her sunroom), creating window treatments, tablecloths, and even general contracting her own kitchen remodel. She created a beautiful ornamental outdoor space with her new love for roses, seasonal signage, trellis’, windchimes, even custom lighting. She loved planning and hosting events of all types, baby and bridal showers, weddings, vacations, holidays and her annual preparations for Tim’s Fall Lantern Festival; every detail was thought out and executed beautifully. She used these skills when volunteering events such as the St. Charles parades and Lazarus House Galas and countless other events. She loved more than anything to make memories with friends and family, especially while traveling. As an avid sun lover she could spend days sitting by the ocean or pool with her daughters, sisters, or friends. She traveled the US with her husband Tim for International Coleman Collectors Club events where they made lifelong friends and memories. More recently, she was thrilled to become a grandmother to twin granddaughters, Amelia and Sophia, and couldn’t wait to take them on a beach vacation.
A Memorial Visitation will be 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 W. State Street, Geneva, Illinois 60134. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 4:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home Geneva.
