Obituary
Donald Edward McCarthy age 92, of St.Charles, died Wednesday March 21, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 7, 1925 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The son of the late Joseph and Irene (Haggerty) McCarthy.
Donald graduated from White Bear Lake, MN in 1943. He then went on to serve in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946.
He is survived by his wife, Therese. His children, Donna (the late Daniel) Neiler, Terrence (Rosemary) McCarthy, and the late Patrick (Barbara) McCarthy. Grandchildren, Kevin (Tara) McCarthy, Kelly (Brandon Allen) McCarthy. Also his great grandchildren, MaKayla, Alivia, Archer and Kynlee.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Yurs Funeral Home 1771 W. State Street (Rte 38) Geneva. Funeral Services will follow at 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America or Northwestern Medical Hospice.
