Sandy & Dennis LYDON from Cockermouth, Cumbria UK, AK

"Our Most Beloved Sister DOREEN. We can't imagine life without You're beautiful smile & great energy. All here in Cumbria felt when You walked into a room everything just lit up. We are so privileged that You came into our lives when You married our wonderful & very much loved brother Clive. Mam & Dad loved You greatly and said that the stars aligned when You & Clive met. We will always think of you dancing around our kitchen table at Sycamore house. Even Dennis' Rotary Club colleagues fell in love with you and were very honoured when you & Clive joined them to climb some of the wonderful Lake district mountains. Our friends & neighbours are heartbroken that you have had to leave us but be assured you will always be talked about & a glass raised to You when we get together. We loved You more than we can ever say & look forward to partying with You again in the next world. You will always remain in our hearts. Thank You for all the happy memories & fun that You brought into our lives. You will remain forever young. With the Greatest Love, Sandy & Dennis xxxxx"

Henk Jan Grobbe from Erica, the Netherlands, AK

"Dear Clive and Family, I have had the privilege to work with Doreen for many, many years. Every visit to Elgin was a warm welcome with a big smile AND she loved the “stroopwafels and chocolate I brought. The diners in my favorite restaurants in St. Charles or the Irish pub where we could laugh for hours over a good glass of wine!! Everytime Doreen visited the Netherlands she always brought popcorn, for me always the wrong flavour. I loved working together, I’m gonna to miss here smile and laugh. Thanks for all the memories and fun we had together. Henk Jan Grobbe, the Netherlands"

Robertus and Lianne Benning from Hoogeveen, Netherlands, CA

"Dear Clive, family,We feel so sorry that we need to let go such a greath colleague and much more, a dear friend. It feels so unfair, she fought so hard in such an inspirational and positive way. Unfortunately she couldn't win the battle.Despite there was an ocean between us, after a few years working together closely, we got to knew eachother pretty well. Especially the last few years, we talked for many hours via Teams. We discussed not only work related things, but all things which came into our lifes. The good and the bad. And so she became my “worksister”.Doreen was funny, inspiring, spread love and warmth, connected people and approached the world in a special, unique and positive way. May she rest in peace and shine her bright light on us from where she now is. She will be missed sorely. We’ll meet again. And so you can ask for one more question. With love, Robertus & Lianne Daniël and Susanne"

Scott Patrick Mccauley from Palos Hills, IL

"The best Sister you could ask for. We may not have agreed on things. But when it came to family... we agreed. She is in heaven with our grandma and mother. Thank you Clive for not just being there for Doreen.. our entire crazy and funny family. God bless"

Susan Bolanos (Piecko) from Pensacola, FL

"Clive,I am just in disbelief that my friend Doreen has left this world. I am sure she is on to the next making people happy with those piercing blue eyes and a wink and giggle. I will miss that I will never clink a glass of wine with her again. Sorry I couldn't be there to celebrate her life. What great stories we have from the Corning days. God Bless you all in this sad time."
