Dorothy Ellen Schultz, age 77, of South Elgin passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at McAuley Manor in Aurora, Illinois.
She was born May 14, 1940 in Oak Park, Illinois to Frank and Rose Schultz. Dorothy grew up in Bellwood, and earned her B.A. Degree and her M.A. degree from Northern Illinois University. She was a beloved English teacher at Lakewood Junior High and Carpentersville Middle School in C.U.S.D 300 for over 35 years. Following her retirement, Dorothy enjoyed traveling, reading (especially mysteries), completing crossword puzzles, preparing delicious meals and cheering on her favorite teams, the Cubs and the Bears.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her close friends who will remember her for her generosity, strong will and her quick wit.
