Dr. Lyle Skinner, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Geneva, Illinois, on Tuesday, September 15. Lyle was born to Robert and Joyce Skinner in Sandwich, Illinois, and spent his childhood in Yorkville, Illinois, where he attended Yorkville public schools. He graduated from Northern Illinois University, where he studied interior design. After college, he moved to Chicago, where he became known for designing interiors for noted Chicago restaurants. He met Ruth Glen in High School, and they were married in December 1979, in Geneva Illinois – where they also raised their two children, Alexandra and Randall. Lyle went on to study psychology at the Professional School of Psychology in Chicago and practiced psychology until his passing. Lyle is preceded in death by his son, Randall, and brother Joe. He is survived by Ruth, his daughter Alexandra, his son-in-law Michael, his siblings Sharon Chase, Steven Skinner, and Scott Skinner, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 25 at Yurs Funeral Home in Geneva, Illinois from 3-4:30pm. Followed by the Memorial Service  at 4:30 P.M.
