George Barton, age 75, of Batavia, IL, formerly of Westmont, IL. He was born to Joseph and Agnes Barton in Hinsdale in 1947. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Dan) Nawa of Plainfield, IL, son Jason (Erin) Barton of Geneva, IL, brother, William (Ginger) Barton of St. Charles, IL, and five grandchildren who made him so proud, Julia Nawa, Maggie Nawa, Mallory Barton, Abby Nawa and Ben Barton. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Phil Sollami, and sister-in law Diane (Sol) Pelavin of Potomac, MD, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda, earlier this year. George served our country in the Army during Vietnam. He was a lifetime leader in the industrial staffing industry. He founded his own company, Barton Staffing Solutions, in 1998. He also mentored both his children in the business, which they continue to successfully operate today. He was active in coaching Little League Baseball in Westmont, an avid fan and collector of hot rod cars. He loved to attend local events, and travel to many car shows across the nation. He was a proud member of the Batavia Moose Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Batavia Moose Lodge.
Visitation will be October 15, 2022 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Services will follow at 11:30 A.M. at Yurs Funeral Home Geneva.
