Glen T. Mukosey, 73, of Elburn, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2022 after a courageous eighteen-year battle with cancer. Glen was born on July 21, 1949, in Northlake, Illinois and attended West Leyden High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, on May 9, 1970. The couple celebrated 49 years together before the passing of his wife Kathy in 2019. For over 20 years he worked for Dominick’s Finer Foods in the transportation department where he developed life long friendships. Glen and Kathy raised two wonderful children, Gregory and Jennifer, in Darien IL. Glen had a great passion for music. He played in a band growing up and continued playing the drums and guitar throughout his adult life. He would often sit for hours listening to music and old records. He also enjoyed fishing or spending time watching the wildlife while sitting on his porch. Glen is survived by his son, Gregory of Plainfield, IL; and daughter, Jennifer (Jason) of Elburn, IL. He was a loving grandfather to granddaughters, Ashley and Elizabeth and grandsons, Lance and Joseph. He is also survived by his sister, Laura, several friends; and his special dog Red.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife Kathy, mother Theodora, father George, brother Gary; mother-in-law, Francis; father-in-law Walter; his grandparents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, at St. Gall Catholic Church located at 43W885 Hughes Road, Elburn, IL, from 11am-12pm, with mass and funeral services following.
