Gregg Hosler, age 61, of South Elgin, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Known for his animated stories and pure soul, Gregg touched each of our lives in profound ways.

He was born August 31, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois to Ronald & Carole Hosler. Gregg is survived by his parents; Carole & Ron, siblings; Scott (Jeanne) Hosler, Linda Richards, Sharon (Brent) Wells, Sandi (Brian) Callaghan, brother-in-law; Jeff Trucksa, and 14 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Judi Trucksa, Lisa Krause and nephew Nicholas Mogavero.

Gregg was a perpetual child in both heart and mind. His intentions were clear, his emotions genuine. He taught us all that different does not mean less, it means so much more. We will miss your quiet grace, unexpected quips, and loyalty to those you loved. Yes, you were “special”, but it was your uniqueness that was your gift. Your distinctive qualities made our love for you, forever strong.

A celebration of life will be held – information to follow.
