"Helen was a dear aunt who became a 2nd mom to me. I loved summer days in Geneva! And, I will always be grateful she invited my mother to become part of the North Side Gospel Center family; those people and my encounters with the Lord in that place changed my life. Forever. God’s love and grace to my “step” brother and sisters. Praying for you, Wally, Linda, Barbara..."

"Helen babysat my kids, Blaise and Madi from the time they were born until they were a little too old for babysitters. We just loved Helen and didn't ever want her to stop coming over. She brought the kids gifts almost every time she came through the door. She was the kindest, most caring, and most loving "Grandmother" to my kids. We love you Helen and we miss you. Please look out for us all down here!"

Alex and Pamela Jacobs from NAPLES, FL
"Alex and I feel a great sense of loss with Helen's passing. Whenever we spoke she was so upbeat that it just made everything going on in your life feel better. Alex is not a man of many words so I will speak and write for him. (He's looking over my shoulder as I type - haha, some things never change!)Helen and Alex were the last remaining siblings and were very close. They spoke frequently about all kinds of topics and truly agreed about most things, except politics! I'll let that comment settle in to all of you that knew Helen so well! Whatever she believed in, she believed it with vigor and was unafraid to express her points of view.I, for one, always held her in awe. Such a strong, vibrant woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved laughing and making others feel good. And, boy, did she love to feed people and feed them she did! Her brother always told stories about her sharing her food with the family and since she passed we spend a lot of time telling and re-telling our fondest memories of Helen.Lastly, we want to thank Barbara, Linda and Wally for coming together and making Helen's final days so wonderful. She loved you with a heart so enormous and raised all of you very well!"
