Obituary

Howard J. McShane age, 71 of Geneva, died Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his home.

He was born November 20, 1946 in Elmhurst, Il. The son of the late Robert and June McShane.

Howard served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. During that time he received the Purple Heart Award. For over 40 years before his retirement he was employed by Southwestern Bell.

He is survived by his wife, Gerdy of 36 years. Two children, Karen (Steve) Wanders of Manitowic, Wisc, and Marc (Teresa) McShane of Glen Ellyn.

Six grandchildren, Rick Jr., Karly, Mariana, Max, Alessia, and Fiora. Also two sisters, Nancy Brennan, and Sharon (Dennis) Sluhoski. Five brothers, William (Susan), Joel (Sandy), Michael, James, and Thomas. Also many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death besides his parents. His brother, Robert.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 W. State Street (Rte 38) Geneva. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery Wheaton.
