James “Jim” Miller age 64 of Geneva, Illinois passed away unexpectedly October 17, 2017. He was born May 22, 1953 to John and Rita Miller in St. Marys, Ohio. Jim graduated from Memorial High School in St. Marys, Ohio class of 1971. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 1975 from Ohio State University, which led to his being a fan of the Ohio State football team. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing guitar. He loved spending time with his two grandsons.
He is survived by his loving wife Connie, daughter Mindy (Charlie) Burts of Springfield, Virginia, son Shaun Miller, of Herndon, Virginia, two grandsons; Simon and Alex Burts, parents; John and Rita Miller, siblings; Don Miller, Larry (Claire) Miller, Steve (Cathy) Miller, Jeff (Deb) Miller, Mary (Carey) Clouner, Donna Miller, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 22, 2107 at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 W. State Street, Geneva, Illinois 60134. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, October 23, 2017 at Yurs Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva, IL.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Habitat for Humanity.
