October 25, 2024 | 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. - Yurs Funeral Home Geneva 1771 West State Street (Rte 38)
Our beloved Jason R. Grusz passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2024. Loved and missed by his Mother and Stepfather Carla and Daniel Martens; Aunts and Uncles Margie and Mark Haley, Kim and Don Scott, Monica and Scott Martin, Diane Carpenter, Cousins Tara Brown (who was more like a sister to him), Sandy Lemon, Rebecca Grabowski, Laura Thorp, Whitney Martin, Joshua Carpenter and many more.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Ronald Grusz, both sets of Grandparents, his Aunts Janice (Godmother) and Roberta, and most recently his Uncle Jake.
A special thank you to his best friend who was like a brother, John Stola and friends Jenny Carey, Brad Reynard, Isaiah Romero, Billy Kelman and Donnie Patrick. As well as his co-workers who were also his friends at USIC.
Jason loved cooking, playing guitar, fishing, bike riding, video games and lifting weights. An animal lover, he will be missed by his beloved cats Baby and Prissy and dog Esme. He rescued several cats and kittens and even a baby racoon whose leg was caught on a dumpster. He was known to carry cat and dog treats in his vehicle just in case.
He had a big heart and would help anyone in need with a donation or a helping hand.
In lieu of flowers, family requests a donation be made in Jason’s name to VOCAL (Voices of Change Animal League) www.vocalforpets.org, Sheltering Hands (www.shelteringhands.org) or a local animal shelter.
A celebration of Jason’s life will be held at Yurs Funeral Home (1771 W. State Street, Geneva, IL) on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
