Jean Carole Farrell nee Turek, 79, died peacefully Tuesday, March 21. She was greatly loved by her husband, children, grandchildren, and their families.

The daughter of Ray and Barbara Turek, Jean was born June 12, 1943, in Chicago. She met Richard Farrell while working together for Sears Roebuck and Company and they married August 13,1966.

Jean was a proud member of the National Honor Society and had a love for reading. She was an independent thinker. She taught herself to crochet and enjoyed making blankets for her children and grandchildren.

Jean and Richard eventually retired and realized their dream by moving to the Northwoods of WI where they lived for 18 years until Richard’s death. She then relocated to Sycamore to be nearer to her family.

She is survived by sons David (Tricia), Robert (Tamara), daughter Christine Foy; four grandchildren – Megan Foy, Erin Foy, Ryan Foy, Reilly Farrell; and dear nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents Ray and Barbara Turek, and brother John Turek.

Memorial visitation will be April 2nd from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 West State street (Rte 38) Geneva.
