Obituaries

Jimmy A. Thorn, 79, of St. Charles, went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2022, at
his home. He was born November 26, 1943, in Holcomb, Missouri, and served in the Navy
from 1961-1967 on the USS Forrestal.

Jim was an amazing husband, dad, and grandpa. He was a beloved member of his church,
Redeemer Fellowship. Everyone who knew Jim loved him for his humor, integrity, sense of
fairness, and warmth.

Jim ran his own home repair company, Tri-Star Services, and retired when he was diagnosed
with Huntington’s Disease.

He is survived by his children; Darren (Pam) Becker, Kelley Thorn, Ellen (Dan) Cody, and Joe
(Jennifer) Thorn, his thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Liz, his mother and father, Beatrice ‘Evelyn’ and
Alvin Doyle Thorn, his stepfather Les Thorn, his brother Alvin ‘Johnnie’ Doyle Thorn, his son
David James Thorn, and daughter Michelle Kalas.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 17th at Redeemer
Fellowship, 1125 Oak Street, St. Charles, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of
