Obituaries

Jing Chei Sun, 93, passed away Thursday, March 17th, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was loved by her husband, children, grandchildren, and their families.

The daughter of Shen Hong Pei and Ma Qin Xian, Jing was born on July 15th, 1928, in Shanghai China. On December 18th, 1953, she married her beloved husband Ching Shen Chen in Hong Kong. They later moved to Taiwan and raised 2 children together. She eventually came to the USA in 1979. Jing was a wonderful mother and wife who loved spending her time knitting, taking long walks, dancing, playing the piano. She was an excellent cook that took pride in making dishes for her family and friends.

Jing is survived by her siblings Shen Jing Yi, Shen You’e, Shen Wei Yu, Shen Wei Chang, and Shen Wei Dong; son Fang (Lisa) Chen and daughter FeJu (Michael) Fleck; dear nieces and nephews; five grandchildren, Linda (Chris) Nguyen, Sherry Chen, David Chen, Joseph Fleck, and Sarah Fleck; three great grandchildren Henry Nguyen, Emily Nguyen, Chloe Nguyen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ching Shen, two sisters, and two brothers.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 9:30-11:30 A.M. Saturday March 26th at Yurs Funeral Home of Geneva, 1771 W. State Street, Geneva, Illinois. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 11:30, at the funeral home. Internment will be at Queen of Heaven, Hillside, Illinois.
