Jo Ann Collins

Jo-Ann T. Collins 89, of Geneva formerly of Matteson. Died Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Northwestern Medicine,Geneva.
She was born November 21, 1931 in Fairview, Ohio and grew up in Westlake, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Patronella Wissman.
Jo-Ann was a high school cheerleader, amazing cook and talented gardener, besides being a dedicated mother and homemaker. She was a 4H leader and loved to play cards particularly bridge at the Geneva Senior Center. She loved music and dancing, as well as attending music festivals. She always had exciting travels all over the world with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, David. Her two daughters, Shirley (Charles) Hager, and Kathleen (Byron) Merold. She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Memorial Visitation will be held Time 9-10:45am Date February15, 2021 at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 West State Street (Rte 38) Geneva. Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on February 15, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church 1891 Kaneville Road Geneva.
