Joan Fay Reynolds, aged 74, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024. Born on July 8, 1950, in New York City, Joan grew up in Flushing, Queens, on Long Island. She was the beloved daughter of John Winters and Jean Winters (née Erdman).

Joan was the eldest of three children, loving sister to Marie and John. She pursued her education at Hunter College of The City University of New York in Manhattan, graduating in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Joan had a distinguished career as an ICU and ER nurse before transitioning to the role of a clinical auditor, eventually retiring in 2016.

On September 17, 1977, Joan married the love of her life, Stephen Reynolds. Together, they built a beautiful family, and Joan was a dedicated wife and mother, always putting her family’s needs above her own. She is survived by her sons Patrick (Allison) and Sean, and her grandchildren Declan, Conor, Peyton and Ryan.

Joan had a passion for reading, cooking and solving crossword puzzles. More than anything, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Joan Fay Reynolds will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her selflessness, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family will forever be remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joan’s memory to a charity of your choice.
