Obituaries

Joann Zelek, age 83, of Batavia passed away Friday, March 11, 2025.

She was born January 26, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to Ignatius and Mildred Biesik.

Mrs. Zelek is survived by her two children, Deborah (Ron) Heath and Jim (Denise) Zelek, three grandchildren, Michael Heath, Samantha (Kevin) Hancock and Tyler Zelek, two step  grandchildren, Nicole Burbach and Chris (Samantha) Burbach, a great-granddaughter, Lillian Hancock and two step great grandchildren, Tommy and Danny Burbach.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private graveside services will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva, Illinois.
