John Andrew McKiness, age 69, of St. Charles, died Monday, December 5, 2022 at Delnor Hospital, Geneva, IL. He was born December 24, 1952, in Geneva, IL. The son of Robert and Delores McKiness. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1971. He graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was an Electrical Engineer. On November 23, 1974 he married Annette Siercks at St. Patrick’s church in St. Charles,IL. He retired in 2019 after working for various electronic companies. He loved his birds – he had names for every one of them. He loved camping, taking trips with the family, his last big trip was last year celebrating Sara’s 40th birthday in Florida. He also loved being on his computer. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Annette McKiness, His children, Sara of St. Charles, Kevin of North Aurora, Kevin’s partner Jacqueline Johnson of North Aurora. His grand child Aiden Niziolek of South Elgin. His brother Ron of Arkansas, Sisters – Peggy Anderson of Batavia, Dolores Jeskie of Geneva, IL. He was preceded in death by his father Robert McKiness. Visitation is Friday, December 9, 2022 at 9 am until services at 11 am, at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State Street (Rte 38) Geneva, IL.
