"We are sad about Marv’s passing. I always admired his photography and I remember hosting Christmas Eve in Batavia and since Aunt Janie was sick, Marv created a video of our Christmas Eve. I remember how delighted I felt to be able to see the evening in its entirety. That ‘s Marv… moving quietly in the background and creating something beautiful! Aunt Janie, my thoughts and my prayers are with you and your family. Much love!"

"Marvin was a wonderful man who I was glad to know as a coworker and a friend. His wit, charm, patience, and intelligence endeared him to all who knew him. As a librarian he was creative and resourceful, but above all he was reliable and trustworthy. As such he was invaluable. May his memory be for a blessing."

Neil O'Shea from Niles, IL

"A prince of a person and a fair-minded union representative, Marvin also endeared himself to colleagues by sharing his wealth of insight into productive uses of then microcomputers and pcs in library settings, first at the North Pulaski Branch and then at the Sulzer Regional Library where he designed a custom, full-featured circulation system that ensured the success of the Media Department’s pioneering video collection to the delight of community and staff. He also designed many a nifty flyer for library programs. Over coffees, I fondly remember Marvin sharing his pick of the day’s newspaper comics, believing as many insights could be found there as on office bulletin boards. God Bless Marvin and Jane."
