Mary Jayne (Barreca) Fosco, born on May 16, 1924 in Evanston, Illinois, to Lucia (Di Francesca) and Joseph Barreca, passed away at age 93 on March 27, 2018 in Geneva, Illinois. She grew up in Evanston, Illinois, was the third of 6 children and graduated from Evanston High School at the age of 16. Mary met and married the love of her life, the late Paul Fosco in 1945 and they were married for 50 years. She was the Office Manager at the Buehler YMCA in Palatine until her retirement in 1988. Mary is survived by her daughter, Lisa Thrun (Gary) and grandaughters Alexandra Thrun (Michael Krause) and Nicole Thrun. Donations in Mary’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Peter Catholic Church are welcome and appreciated. Friends and family members may attend the memorial mass on Saturday, May 19, 12:00p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Rd., Geneva, Illinois, 60134. A luncheon will follow the service at the St. Charles Country Club.

"After our grandmother died the fami!y began to fall away. When my dad left Does Plaines for Scottsdale Arizona end of 1971 many relatives came to visit and some bought homes. Aunt Mary was one of them She was also my God mother ! She was so beautiful and her long hair ! Uncle Paul was very handsome. My memories of everyone are forever sealed in my mind and heart ! I have no way of finding anyone other then internet obituaries Now that is just wrong and sad. My oldest daughter Amanda died June 19th,2022 in Michigan at 47 she left 4 children The oldest of my5 adult children. So aunt Mary had along life.I wish we got to know Lisa. Her and Paul are together again I miss my enter family !!"
