Ann Cross from Stanwood, MI

"Although this note is being written a year after Nina's passing, it is only today that I learned of her passing. She and Ed came to mind and I looked for them online, only to find this sad news. Many years ago in Springfield, Illinois, I sang with Nina and two other women in a Sweet Adelines quartet and Nina was such a significant part of that experience, both for her musical gifts but also for her sewing, design, fitting talents, all of which were extraordinary. She was always making a beautiful wedding gown or an amazing wedding cake for a lucky bride, while also singing with us, taking care of her and Ed's (and their then young daughters) home with their little dog, Jolie. My husband and I have thought of the Nina and Ed over the years even though we hadn't been in touch for many years. I was sad to read of her passing and sad to think of Ed without her. Ed had such a delightful sense of humor (we still quote some of his "lines" and still laugh) and we can only hope his humor and his family have helped him and will continue to help him through grief. With sincere condolences, Ann and Jeff Cross"
