In Loving Memory

Raymond Roy Mayotte

May 13, 1936 – December 26, 2021

Ray “Ruggy” Mayotte, 85, passed away on December 26 in Geneva, IL. He is survived by his son Ryan (Jessica), his grandsons, Corey and Kyle, and his granddog, Bruce. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Kristine, his amazing son, Darrin, his parents, sister and brothers. Ray served in the army and later became a financial advisor. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons whom he was beaming proud of and would tell anyone that would listen, lunch with his friends, golfing, Christmas tree hunting, the Soo (best place on earth according to him), and, of course, Michigan football. Ray is famous for his Ruggy burgers, yelling at Michigan football games, yelling at ESPN sports radio, a voice that you could hear in the next county, pushups, pull-ups and stretches. Let’s hear it one more time for Ray: GO BLUE!

Visitation will be at Yurs Funeral Home in Geneva on December 30th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm concluding with a prayer service. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite organization in his name
