"I am proud to say Rich has been a close friend for 20 years. Christina and I met the Pingel's through Wild Fire Harley Owners Group in 2004. We have traveled over 6000 miles on motorcycle excursions that included trips to New England, Colorado, and Alabama, multiple Iron Butt rides, HOG ABC's, and local club rides. We enjoyed each others company traveling to Mexico, cruise to Hawaii and High Seas Rally. Rich and I celebrated multiple milestone birthdays separated by a decade in age. There was over a decade where the Pingel's were never less than a primary thought in our thoughs and plans. Rich's passing leaves fond memories of a man who was strong in stature, his personal belief's and convictions, commitment to friendship, and dedication to his faith and family, and fellow dog lover. Rich and Fran are our friends forever, always in our hearts, and always in our thoughts."
Paul and Patricia Reardon from South Elgin, IL

"Our sincere condolences to Fran and the entire family. We first met Rich and Fran when they moved into Edgewater. They've been the dearest friends of ours and many others. Rich was a daily member of our morning group of men who met for coffee and general gossip. We had such a great time joking and teasing each other and Rich was always involved with his great humor. I, along with everyone else will greatly miss him. May the good Lord bless him."
Bob Stubing from Elgin, IL
