Ronald W. Stengler was born in Chicago to George and Hilda Stengler. He served in the US Army, and married his wife Roberta (Bobbie) King-Stengler in 1962.
He retired from Western Electric in 1989 after thirty years of service. He was President of the local chapter of the Telephone Pioneers, and also served on the St Charles Commission for our nation’s bi-centennial celebration. He also served as the administer of the St. Charles Moose Lodge #1368 for seventeen years and received a Loyal Order of Moose Pilgrim Degree. As a young man he enjoyed playing soft ball, coaching Tri City Little League and youth soccer.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie Stengler, and sons Michael Stengler, Jeffery (Kerri) Stengler and Charles (Mara) Stengler. Grandchildren: Samantha (Correy) Ferrante, Alexandra Zenkner, Veronica Zenkner, Addison Stengler, Hayden Stengler, Katie Stengler, Bailey (Jon) Richardson, Jesse Stengler, Daniel Stengler, Mitchell (Aleisha) Stengler, Joshua (Abigale) Stengler, in addition to fifteen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Stengler-Zenkner, parents George and Hilda Stengler, and brothers George and Norbert Stengler.
Visitation will be at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 West State Street (Rte 38) Geneva, IL on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 1p.m. to 3:30 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 3:30 P,M,
In lieu of flowers, gifts of love and care may be directed to Lazarus House and the Salvation Army or one’s favorite charity. Both noted organizations located in St. Charles, IL.
