Ruby Dimple Pryor, 94, of South Elgin, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2024 at White Oaks, South Elgin, IL.
Ruby was born on September 1, 1930 in Rickman, Tennessee. She graduated from the Illinois School for the Deaf and was a state archery champion.
Ruby was married to Edward Pryor, Sr. on July 20, 1957; they were married 59 years.
Ruby worked in manufacturing at Western Electric in Montgomery, IL and retired after 35 years.
Ruby is survived by her son, Edward (Colleen) Pryor Jr., grandson, Kristofer Pryor, and many nieces and nephews.
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Pryor, Sr., parents, Willie and Mollie (Howard) West, sister, Joyce West, and brothers, Willie D. West Jr., and Michael West Sr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Yurs Funeral Homes, 1771 West State Street, Geneva, IL from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the funeral service starting at 7 p.m.
