Russell (Russ) W. Barrett age 69, of North Aurora, Illinois passed away August 23, 2019. He was born to Orville and Alberta Barrett in Chicago, Illinois.

Russ met his wife Joy one evening as she walked by the front porch he was sitting on. Through their 47 years of marriage Russ always called Joy his Lovely Bride. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Russ enjoyed sports and his favorite baseball team was the Chicago White Sox.

He is survived by his wife Joy, sons; Russell Barrett, Michael (Debra) Barrett, three grandchildren; Andrew, Evelyn, and Ryan, two sisters; Karen (Bob) Kuhn, Diane (Mike) Godsey, and many nieces and nephews.

Russ was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Ladendorf.

Visitation will be 4-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 W. State Street, Geneva, Illinois 60134. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 W. State Street, Geneva, Illinois 60134. Burial will be private.
