Sandra M. Joseph age 73, of Elburn, Illinois passed away unexpectedly, December 31, 2017. She was born in Chicago, to Emil and Alberta Filip. Sandra received her Master’s Degree from Northern Illinois University and taught first grade. She went on to work for Houghton Mifflin Co. until her retirement in 2015. Sandra loved to garden, cook and shop, but had the greatest pleasure taking care of her twin grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband William “Bill” Joseph, daughter Misty-lyn (Greg) Wogstad, son Chad William Joseph, grandsons; Wyatt and Cole Wogstad, and brother Emil (Cherie) Filip.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Susan, and her parents.
Visitation will be 1-4:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Yurs Funeral Home 1771 W. State Street, Geneva, Illinois 60134. A Celebration of her life will follow the visitation at 4:00 P.M.
Since Sandra loved gardening and cats, floral expressions of love are welcomed, or donations may be made to The Naperville Area Humane Society.
