Beyond professional pursuits, he completed the Kane County Certified Naturalist program.
Life focused around raising their daughters in St. Charles, Plano, TX and Elburn, IL. A recent move to NW Indiana brought them closer to grandchildren.
Steve was a golf enthusiast be it playing or watching. Cribbage challenges were reserved for his Dad. He was PADI certified in scuba, diving with friends near and far. He cherished his friends, the laughter and good times. He was a whiz with tech and gadgets. He enjoyed smoking meats, sharing photos and recipes. Favorite moments were vacations shared with Dawn and the girls.

Steve leaves behind his wife, Dawn, daughters Paige, Ali (Jakab) Falatovics, and Taylor. Two grandchildren, Anders and Mariska. His father, Charles, brother, Michael (Susan), sisters Carol Moses, Sue (Tim) Baker, and dear nieces and nephews.
